DAY 1

Bagdogra to Phuntsholing (175 km./ 4 hrs)

Welcome to Bhutan Tour Package, drive 175 km to Phuentsholing in approx. 4 hours. The places are beautiful and very green as you cross several small towns, villages, and many small and big Tea Gardens. On arriving in Jalgaon, checkout at Indian Immigration and enter Bhutan where you will meet your tour guide. Process your entry and route permit at the Bhutan immigration and Transport office. On arrival check in to the hotel. Evening free for leisure and walk around the town Overnight: Phuentsholing| Altitude: 300m

DAY 2

Phuentsholing to Thimphu (175 km./ 7 hrs)

After breakfast, embark on an interesting journey to Thimphu en route visiting Kharbandi Gompa, the beautiful monastery founded in 1967 by Royal Grand Mother, Ashi Phuntsho Chodron. Here you can see the statues of Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and Guru Rimpoche along with paintings portraying scenes from the life of Lord Buddha. The monastery garden provides great views of Phuentsholing town and the surrounding plains of West Bengal.

On arrival, in Thimphu check-into the hotel. The capital town of Bhutan and the centre of Government, religion and commerce, Thimphu is a unique city with unusual mixture of modern development alongside ancient traditions. Situated in western Bhutan, with the population of about 1,00,000, it is perhaps still the world only capital city without a traffic light.

DAY 3

Thimphu sight seeing

Today You will explore capital city of Bhutan,after breakfast, drive to visit:

Memorial Chorten, Buddha Point (Kuensel Phodrang), Changangkha Lhakhang, Takin Preserve, Institute for Zorig Chusum,Textile Museum, Folk Heritage Museum, Trashichhoedzong.

Overnight | Thimphu. (Altitude 2,320m)

DAY 4

Excursion to Punakha

After breakfast you will visit SimTech Dzong, the oldest Dzong in the country that was built in the year 1629, thereafter the road climbs for an hour till you reach Do Chula Pass at an altitude of 3150m dotted with colorful prayer flags and 108 Stupa. Weather permits and this pass offers the most spectacular view over the high peaks of the Eastern Himalayans. You may enjoy a hot cup of tea/coffee (at your own expense) at the Dochula tourist cafe. Continue to descend en route to Punakha & Wangdue through the temperate forest of rhododendron & magnolia bloom in spring, then a semi-tropial zone where orange trees, banana trees, and cactuses are found in abundance. Have lunch on the way. After lunch, you will take a walk to the temple standing on a round hill rock through a paddy field to Chimi Lhakhang, or the temple of fertility. It is about 20 minute's walk through rice terraces and the village of Yoakha. The temple is situated on the spur above the village. It is believed that a barren couple will have children if they get a blessing from this temple. Drive takes around 4 hours drive to Paro, crossing over Do Chula pass. DAY 5

Paro sight seeing

Morning drive to the base for the hike (3 hrs uphill) to Tigers Nest, the most revered temple in the country that literally hangs on a granite cliff overlooking the Paro valley. Most of the day will go on the hike. On the way back, if you have the energy and time visit the Kichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan which marks the beginning of Buddhism in the country. Hot stone baths are available at an additional cost. Overnight |Paro. (Altitude 2,280m)

DAY 6

Paro to Phuentsholing (165 km./ 5hrs)

Today you will proceed to Phuentsholing from Paro. Check into your respective hotel. Overnight |Phuentsholing (Altitude:300m)

DAY 7

Phuentsholing /Bagdogra (155 km / 4.30 hrs)

Today is your farewell day for your Bhutan Package Tour. Drive back to Bagdogra for your onward journey with happy memories to cherish.
